Cindi Beardsley, Creston, Iowa

Cindi Beardsley, 63, of Creston, died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Mary O'Riley will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in the Patterson Cemetery, rural Madison Co. Open visitation will be from 2-7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Powers Funeral Home in Creston, with family receiving friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family. Cyndi Rae Beardsley, daughter of Myron Elwood Clemetson and Deloris Jean (Ratliff) Clemetson and William Palmer Berch and Dauryne Mae (Hindman) was born August 31, 1951 in Gafton, N.D. and raised in rural Iowa. Cyndi graduated from Winterset High School in 1970.

On August 15, 1971 Cyndi was united in marriage to Jimmy Elbridge Beardsley in East Peru, where they settled for a short time before moving to Creston in 1972.

Cyndi moved between Thayer, East Peru and Creston, spending most of her life in Union and Madison Counties. Cyndi was always busy working as a homemaker. She was also actively involved as her children grew, including PTO, a Girl Scout leader, Leslie's Dance Emporium, and many other various activities, throughout the girls' childhood. Jimmy died in 1996.

Cyndi was involved with the American Diabetic Association, American Heart Association and American Cancer Association, AA and NA in Creston. Cyndi met James Paxton and moved to Shannon City in 2006. She returned to Creston in 2011.

Cyndi is survived by her, three daughters, Tori (husband William) Pettit of Creston, Tammi Claus of Lincoln, Neb. and Tina Parcher (significant Greg Ashmore) of Creston; special friend James Paxton of Shannon City; seven grandchildren, Jordanne Beardsley (fiancé Tyler White), Paige and Tommie O'Neall, Vanessa and Brandon Claus, Charley and Maygen Parcher; three great-grandchildren, Payton Hendrickson, Braedyn White and Connor Claus; a brother Merlin D. Clemetson of St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters Mindy Malone of Wisc.; and Lorie (husband Tom) Stajcar of Urbandale, Ia.; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family. Cyndi was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jimmy, and other family members.

CYNDI BEARDSLEY, Creston

Cyndi Beardsley, 63, of Creston died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston.

Celebration of Life services were held Friday, Feb. 27, at Powers Funeral Home in Creston, with Mary O’Riley officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Patterson Cemetery, rural Madison Co. Memorials may be given to the family.

Clemetson of St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters, Mindy Malone of Wisconsin, and Lorie (Tom) Stajcar of Urbandale; and many other family members and friends.
