Duane M. Linn, 74, died at Mercy Medical Center on January 25, 2015. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 30 at Iles Funeral Homes - Grandview Park Chapel. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 31 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Duane was born in Winterset on June 7, 1940 to the late Lloyd and Juanita (McLarnand) Linn. He lived most of his life in Des Moines and attended East High School. Duane worked for the Des Moines School System maintenance department at Central Campus. He loved cars, his aquariums, watching old cowboy movies and collecting baseball cards.
Those left to cherish Duane's memory include his wife of 47 years, Janice (Hite) Linn; brother, R. Lloyd (V.Lavon) Linn; sister, Sherryl (Richard) Martin; two nieces, Julie (Steve) Douglas and Sarah Martin; two nephews, Lloyd (Cathy) Linn and Rodney (Dana) Linn; and many great nieces and nephews.
