Albert H. Dean was born in Marshall County, Iowa, November 7, 1854. He departed this life May 21st, 1932, at the age of 77 years.

He was the son of David and Anna Dean, being one of a family of five children, all of whom have preceded him in death. He was a Birthright Quaker, but later became a member of the Methodist, and is a member of the Pond Creek, Okla. Methodist church.

He grew to manhood in Iowa. He was married to Samantha Swain, of Roseville, Ohio, in 1881. To this union one daughter, Claudia, was born.

In 1917 he was married to Emma A. Perry, of Fairberry, Nebr. They located in Wymore, Nebr., where they remained until coming to Pond Creek five years ago.

He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Claudia Melick, of Lansing, Mich., two step-sons Fred Perry, of Shattuck, Okla., Floyd Perry, of Pasco, Wash., and a nephew and niece, Earl Dean and Mrs. Mabel Harr, of Hollenberg, Kans.

He was a man of sterling uprightness and integrity of character, and of rare kindliness of heart. He will be missed by a large circle of friends.

Funeral services were conducted from Welch & Benson’s funeral parlors Tuesday morning with Rev. B. W. McEldoweny officiating. Burial was in Earlham Cemetery.
