Patricia Ann Dunbar, 87, of Waukee passed away Dec. 7, 2014.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Winterset. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Patricia was born March 31, 1927, in Bismarck, ND, and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Bismarck. She met and married Leo Classen in 1945 and had three children. She later married Melvin Clifford Dunbar in the spring of 1980. She and Mel enjoyed Polka Dancing. After her retirement from Qwest Communications, they traveled in their motorhome visiting their family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Patricia is survived by her children, Nancy (Ernie) Patterson, Sharon Classen and Jim (Diane) Classen, six step children, 31 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and six siblings.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Dunbar; parents, Charles and Rose McGarvey; five siblings; and two grandchildren.
