Killed by Fall from Automobile

Mrs. Will Brinton, residing two miles southeast of Menlo, was fatally injured on last week Wednesday when she fell to the road from a rapidly moving car while enroute to town to market some produce. The accident was indirectly caused by a jammed foot feed on the Ford car which Mr. Brinton was driving. When she leaned over to release the device, meanwhile Mr. Brinton was trying to gain control of the accelerating car, she put her weight against the door, the catch gave way and she plunged to the frozen road on her head. A fractured skull caused her death last Thursday morning.

The deceased was a sister of Chas. Foglesong, of Earlham, and was born here in 1887. The funeral was held at Menlo Saturday, the local Foglesongs being joined by their son Arthur, of Des Moines, and attending the service. Burial was in Stuart Cemetery.
