PATRICIA EDWARDS, Centennial, Colorado

Patricia Darlene Edwards, daughter of Lucian Calloway Harmon and Eunice Ocrea (Carter) Harmon was born December 25, 1925 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Centennial, Colorado.

Patricia received her education in Lincoln High School in Des Moines, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Robert Morgan on February 11, 1944 and Mary, Tim and LeRoy blessed this union. On January 30, 1971, Patricia married Ernest Marret Edwards, who had four children, Joyce, Janice, Marvin and Nancy.

Patricia worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Truro Public Library Board, Red Hat Society, Book Club, Query Club, and Osceola United Methodist Church.

Patricia lived the life of a working mother, also caring for foster children. She was a great cook and an avid reader. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, arts and crafts, sewing, knitting, ceramics, dolls, and music. She loved singing in the church choir and travelling.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Darrell; husbands, Robert and Marret; son, LeRoy Morgan; and step son-in-law, Frank Evans.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Mary (Kenneth) Gittins; son, Tim (Nancy) Edwards; daughter-in-law, Peggy (LeRoy) Morgan; step children, Joyce (Frank) Evans, Janice (Michael) Amrein, Marvin (Estelle) Edwards, Nancy (Joe) Hochbein; 6 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, and 15 step great grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Osceola United Methodist Church or Truro Public Library.

Services will be held at Osceola United Methodist Church, Friday December 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sandy Smith officiating.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Kale Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, Iowa
