T.J. Hamilton, 90, of Osceola died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at his home.
Tommy Joe Hamilton was born in Kewanee, Ill., on Sept. 30, 1924, the son of Walter and Ola (Miller) Hamilton. His marriage to Marilyn Ann Skoglund took place on Nov. 15, 1948, in York, Neb., and to this union eleven children were born. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He farmed for most of his life and loved driving the back roads as anyone who got into a car with him could attest to.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Linda Jo Fuller; a granddaughter, Krista; a sister, Ethel (Ben) Slover; two uncles; a daughter-in-law, Susan; and a sister-in-law, Jane Hamilton.
He is survived by his children, Vicky (Craig) Luce, Douglas (Karen) Hamilton, Michael (Angel) Hamilton, Edgar Hamilton, Tom (Jane) Hamilton, Pamela (Dave) Hewitt, Larry (Ronda) Hamilton, Betty (Doug) Craig, Beth (Rick) Larrington and Debbie (Joe) Hewitt; 31 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Hamilton; and many other family members and friends.
