Sarah Jane Kirkpatrick, died at her home in Jefferson township, August 18, 1906, at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 12 days. The family has lived at the present home for thirty-nine years. Her husband died eleven years ago. Four children survive the father and mother, Clara and Frank are at home, John J. and Ira E. of Denver, Colorado. Both of these boys came this summer to visit their mother and John and his family were present at the funeral.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick was an excellent Christian woman and will be greatly missed in the community where she has lived so long. The funeral service was held at Union Chapel last Monday and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery near by.
