BILLY FENIMORE

Jan 06, 1929 - May 12, 2014

Billy Norris Fenimore, son of Grover and Rae Hoover Fenimore, was born at home on January 6, 1929. He was a former resident of East Peru, IA. 

Bill graduated from Winterset High School, with the class of 1947. Following high school graduation, he attended the National Railroad School in Omaha, NE and graduated in October 1949, with certification in Railroad Telegraphy and Station Procedure.

In December of 1950, Bill became the 5th brother to serve his country by serving in the Korean War.

Following his discharge in 1957, he made his home in Chicago, IL and resided there until the time of his death. He worked for the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad as a Station Agent-telegrapher until retirement.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: Roger, Paul, Kay, Sid, and Doyle; two sisters: Jean Porter and Susan Hagen.

He is survived by four sisters-in-law: Ellen, Artie, Carolyn, and Beverly; and many nieces and nephews who will remember him as a loving and patient uncle.

Graveside Services were held 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Peru Cemetery with Sandy Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Peru Cemetery.
