JEREMY STOUT, Indiana

Jeremy G. Stout, 38, of Indianapolis, Ind., was killed Wednesday, Apr. 30, 2014, in a two-vehicle accident.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 8, in the Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Columbia City, Ind., with Pastor Steve Pulley officiating. The visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. For those who wish memorials may be made to Taylor University.

He was born on Mar. 20, 1976, in Columbia City, a son of Larry D. and Junell Maggert Stout. His formative years were spent in the Churubusco area, where he graduated from high school in 1994, later receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from Taylor University Fort Wayne. He had served an internship with the United States Marshals Service, working with several areas of federal government including Federal Probation Department and Court Security Officers. Jeremy was also a certified NRA pistol instructor with concealed weapons training. He was currently employed by the Appolo Retail Specialists and part time by G4S Secure Solutions.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Keith Maggert and Devern Stout.

He is survived by his parents, Larry and Junell Stout of Winterset, Iowa; companion, Autumn Roberts of Indianapolis; brother, Adam Stout of Winterset; a sister, Ashley (Cassidy) McFarland of Thornton, Colo.; two nephews, Jace and Landyn McFarland; grandparents, DeMaris and Bill Valjack of Columbia City and Helen Stout of Winterset.
