St. Charles

Elmer Kinnaird, who has been sick for several weeks, passed away at the home of his son, Charles, south of town last Thursday. Funeral services were held Saturday.

Elmer Kinnaird

Elmer Kinnaird died at the home of his son southwest of town March 25. The funeral was held at the M. E. church Saturday March 27th, at 2:10 p. m., conducted by Rev. W. F. Cronk of Des Moines and he was laid to rest in the St Charles cemetery. Mr. Kinnaird was a man who was highly esteemed by all who knew him. His many friends extend sympathy to the relatives in their sorrow.

Coordinator's note: His full name, from the 1860 Federal Census, was Oliver Elmer Kinnaird, but he went by "Elmer" his entire adult life.
