Services for Virginia Cleland, 92, who passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at Unity Point Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 9 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the St. Charles Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Everett Cleland, Nancy Lou (George) Ramey and Anna May Cleland; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford Cleland and son Donald.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services starting at 9 a.m. Memorials may be given in her name to Windsor Manor. Online condolences may be made at overtonfunerals.com.

Virginia Cleland, 92, passed away Monday, Apr. 7, 2014, at Unity Point Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Services will be held 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, Apr. 9) at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola; burial follows in the St. Charles Cemetery. Memorials may be given in her name to Windsor Manor.
Virginia May Cleland was born Nov. 17, 1921, in St. Charles, to Herbert and Stella (Hulbert) Martin. Virginia was united in marriage Sept. 17, 1939, in Winterset, to Clifford Cleland and to this union four children, Everett, Nancy Lou and Anna May, were born. Virginia worked at Champion Glove for 32 years and enjoyed traveling, watching golf and making afghans for her family. She loved spending time with her family’s five generations.
Survivors include her children, Everett Cleland, Nancy Lou (George) Ramey and Anna May Cleland; five grandchildren, Sindy (Tim) Brown, Sherry Stotts, Matthew (Stacie) Ramey, David (Julie) Cleland and Ryan (Stacy) Cook; seven great-grandchildren, Melinda (Dale) Zimmerman, Sarah (Darren) Hansen, Ryan Stotts, Tyler Ramey, Grady Cleland, TJ (Morgan) Hiracheta and Maysa Hiracheta; and three great great-grandchildren,
