Mr. Shoemaker, an old gentleman living in the east part of town, died Saturday morning after a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday at the home at one o’clock, by Rev. R. E. House and burial in the Baptist cemetery north of town. Deceased was the father of George Shoemaker of Union township and leaves an aged wife, a daughter and son to mourn his absence.
