Page 4, Column 3Mrs. Sarah Chambers died this morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Dave Roy, five miles west of town. She was taken ill with pneumonia but was not considered to be in a dangerous condition and was able to be about the house the day before her death. The funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.

Sarah Everett was born in Montgomery county, Ind., July 4, 1831, and died near Winterset, Iowa, February 20, 1908, aged 76 years, 7 months and 16 days. She was united in marriage with Richard Fox, Sept. 26, 1850. To this union six children were born, Mrs. Hannah Hoadley of Winterset, E. E. Fox of near Middle River, H. S. Fox of Des Moines, Mrs. Lizzie Lee, Canute Okla., Wesley and Philip Fox, who both died in infancy. The deceased removed to Iowa with her husband in 1854.
Mr. Fox enlisted in the Union Army during the Civil War and died in the service of smallpox February 25, 1863. In 1865 Mrs. Fox was married to Lewis Chambers who survives her. To this union three children were born Mrs. Josephine Darnell of Middle River, Richard Chambers who died in infancy, and Willis Chambers of near Earlham. Mrs. Chambers united with the M. E. church in early life and continued a faithful Christian until the end of her journey.
Funeral services conducted by her pastor Rev. C. E. Trueblood were held in the Middle River M. E. church Saturday, February 22, 1908, and interment was in the Roberts Cemetery.
