Elma Fern Todd, 84 of Fredericksburg, Texas, died on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Elma Fern was born August 29, 1929, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter and only child of Elmer and Ethel Samuelson. She attended Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, and had become an accomplished violinist. She married Gerald Todd in 1949 and they resided most of their lives in Winterset, Iowa, until their retirement in Texas. Gerald preceded Elma in death in 2005.
Elma Fern is survived by their son, Mark, of San Marcos, Texas. She was known as a kind woman who loved animals, especially her beloved Jacklyn. She will be missed by all.
Transcriber's note: A note from Elma's son Mark Todd. He states: "We plan on taking both of their ashes to Lamoni and burying them together there."
