St. Charles

Jim Williamson dropped dead in his home last Saturday morning. He lived alone and seemed to be in his usual health.

Jim Williamson’s funeral was held in the Christian church Monday and his remains were laid to rest in the St. Charles cemetery.

COUNTY NEWS – St. Charles

James Williams (sic) died at his home in St. Charles Saturday, June 3, at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 8 days.

Mr. Williamson has been failing in health for some time but was up and around and died suddenly. He has been living alone most of the time since his son Plenny went to the war. His nephew, John Shutt, had just come into his house when Mr. Williamson reeled and started to fall, John caught him and called for help but he passed away immediately.

His wife and son have preceded him. He leaves four brothers and two sisters.

The funeral was held in the Christian church June 5, conducted by Rev. Gans. Interment was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
