GRANDFATHER PASSES

Death of their grandfather, Paul Schoen, 95, in Miami, Fla., was learned Sunday by Mrs. Richard Carroll and Gerald Schoen of Canby.

The former Iowan died Sunday after less than a day's illness, despite surgical attention.

Several sons and a daughter in Florida survive. Another, son, the late Russell Schoen, was the father of the two Canby people, and of Mrs. William Gelbrich of Carlton, Mrs. Robert Harper of Bend, and Mrs. John Crocker of North Plains, son and daughters of Mrs. Leona Thomas.
