Alvin Otho Greer, little son of Brother and sister A. G. Greer, of Erick, Oklahoma, was born June 8th, 1903, at Macksburg, Iowa, died June 8th,1906, near Erick, Okla. The cause of death was spinal meningitis. The dear little jewel suffered much for a short time. While everything was done for him possible, his mission on earth was short, but one that shall live as long as father, mother, and friends live. Otho was such a bright child and blest with such a cheerful disposition he made everyone about him happy, diffusing into their lives sun shine and joy. But he has gone up to heaven and to the God who loves little children. How father and mother will miss him in the home, but he has only preceded them to the home of the soul. He is there today inviting us up higher.

Put away the little dresses
That the darling one used to wear.
He will need them on earth never;
He has climbed the golden stairs.

Around the home we are sitting;
Silence, sadness makes us weep,
When we think of Otho darling
He is wrapped in death's cold sleep.

We pray the blessings of God may be upon the home and all who so kindly aided during the sickness and death of Otho Greer.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Harris and the little body placed in the new grave in the Erick cemetery on June 9th.
