Robert N. Hartsook, 93, of 3333 Grand Ave., died of a heart ailment Monday at Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Dunn's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Hartsook was born in Madison County, and had lived in Des Moines for 80 years. He retired in 1964 as park superintendent at Greenwood Park after 42 years. He was a member of Auburn Masonic Lodge, Des Moines Consistory and Argonne post of the American Legion. He was also a Navy veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife, Chloe, a son, Robert W. of Zanesville, Ohio, two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
