Services for a former West Des Moines resident, Thomas Pray, 88, of South Gate, Calif., will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church in West Des Moines with burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Irish Settlement south of Des Moines.

He died at home Monday of a heart attack. A retired farmer, Mr. Pray was born in Walnut and lived in Des Moines and West Des Moines for 70 years.

Surviving are a brother, Mike, of West Des Moines, and three sisters, Mrs. Florence Boston of Waukee, and Mrs. Edith Rippey, and Mrs. Maggie Woodard, both of Salinas, Calif. There will be a Legion of Mary service at 7:30 tonight at McLaren’s Funeral Home followed by a rosary at 8:30 p.m.
