Services for Albert Mitchell, 74, of 1330 Eighth St., who died of cancer and a stroke Thursday at Veteran’s Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in the cemetery at Winterset.

Born near Ottumwa, Mr. Mitchell lived here 40 years. He was formerly a cashier for 26 years at Bolton & Hay Restaurants and was a receiving clerk at Hotel Fort Des Moines before retiring two years ago. He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, Ethel; a daughter, Judith Mitchell of Des Moines; a brother, Albert Smith of Washington, D. C., and a granddaughter.
