Services for Dale Anton Swanson, 57, former resident of Cherokee, will be at 3 p.m. today at Dahlstrom Funeral Home here. Burial will be at the St. Charles Cemetery.

Mr. Swanson, a member of the Board of Education at Dearborn Heights, Mich., died Thursday at Thousand Oaks, Calif., after a two-week illness.

He was born in Cherokee and lived there 21 years before moving to Indianola and ultimately to Detroit, Mich. He was a graduate of Cherokee High School and attended Morningside College at Sioux City.

Mr. Swanson was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Cherokee A.F. and A.M.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; a daughter, Mrs. Sherry Stubblefield of Agoura, Calif.; two brothers, Ray of Glendale, Calif., and Earl of Western Springs, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Leitch of Cherokee; and a grandson.
