JIM R. BURNETT, Earlham

Jim R. Burnett, 76, of Earlham, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Madison County Hospital in Winterset.

Memorial service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22nd at the Johnson Family Funeral Home in Earlham. A time of fellowship will follow the service. Jim was born July 22, 1936. He grew up in Knoxville, IA and lived there except for his Army service in Korea and Japan. Jim went into a partnership with Frank Inman running Inman Oil Company a business started in 1940 by Powers "Pete" Inman. In 1990, Jim and Linda bought Inman Oil Company from Frank. Jim and Linda celebrated their 50th Anniversary July 22, 2012.

Jim was proceeded in death by his parents: Les and Myrtle Burnett; son: Mark; brother: Les; sister-in-law: Rumi; father-in-law: Frank Inman; brothers-in-law: Lowell Swarthout and Lloyd Anderson.

Jim is survived by his wife: Linda; daughter: Kim (Corey) Hanson, siblings: Betty Swarthout, Bonnie Anderson, Ray (Joan) Burnett; brother-in-law Dan (Tracy) Inman; family members of the heart: Randy and Dottie, Jody, Sammie, Brandy and Nicole Faux, Ann and Jeanette Dye, Rob Knuth and countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
