Mae N. Rinard, 80, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 6, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at Winterset Care Center South.
A graveside memorial service will be held 1 p. m., Saturday, March 9 at the Fairview Cemetery, Madison County. A celebration of life will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Mae N. Vandewater was born to Corvan and Lela (Foster) Vandewater. She married Duane 'Peewee' Rinard in 1953 and to this union six children were born.
Mae was a homemaker most of her life. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed going to garage sales and playing bingo. Her favorite pastime was going to the casino with her son, Donald and sister, Faye.
Mae is survived by her children, Linda (Rick) Govern, Kathy Jones, Donald (Linda) Rinard, Sharon Halter, and Judy (Rod) Clark; a twin sister, Faye Lemon; 16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; a son, Donald; a granddaughter, Misti Rinard; grandsons, Heath and Shawn Jones; and a son-in-law, David Halter.
