Peru Items

Funeral services for Frederick A. Brown of Des Moines, who died Monday, April 7th were held at the McClain Funeral home in West Des Moines Wednesday afternoon. Graveside services and burial were held at the Peru cemetery.

He was 78 years of age. Mr. Brown spent his early life in northern Missouri and at Lineville, Iowa but came to Peru as a young man and made his home for some time at the home of his uncle, the late Dr. E. F. Griffith. For many years he had lived in Des Moines, where he was a city mail carrier until he retired.

He is survived by his wife, the former Maggie Hiatt, of Peru. A daughter Elizabeth of Des Moines and a son Emery of West Des Moines, also two brothers Marvin Brown of Powersville, Mo., and Fern Brown of Des Moines.
