Funeral Services Wednesday from St. Joseph’s Church in Winterset
Elizabeth A. Perry, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Sunday, Nov. 5, at her home in Douglas township. She was 83 years of age.
Mrs. Perry was born in Madison county Sept. 19, 1878, a daughter of James and Julia Welch Rogan. As a young woman, she taught rural school in this county for many years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Colward Perry, and by two brothers and a sister. Surviving are a brother, Waldron Rogan, and a sister, Alice Rogan, both of Winterset.
Rosary services were held this Tuesday evening from the Collins Funeral home. Funeral services were held this Wednesday at 9 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Catholic church in Winterset, in charge of the V. Rev. Msgr. John W. Higgins, pastor of the church. Burial was made in the Stringtown cemetery in Douglas township.
