Tuesday, October 15, 1895, page 8A. L. Wallace, whose family lives at 403 Lafayette street, corner of Fifth, died at the Clarinda hospital for the insane yesterday. The body will be brought to this city today, and arrangements for the funeral will then be made.

Mr. Wallace was a native of Indiana and was a resident of Sioux City for many years. He held the position of deputy sheriff under Jon and Dan McDonald. He was a man of quiet habits and a painstaking and successful official. He leaves a family consisting of the widow, three sons and one daughter to mourn his loss. THe funeral will be held at the family residence, 423 Lafeyette street, at 2:30 this afternoon: Friends of the family are requested to attend.
