Services Set This Wednesday From Methodist Church There
Joseph S. Roth of St. Charles died at his home there Sunday, July 11, at the age of 75 years.
Mr. Roth had lived in Madison county for 40 years. He was a painter by trade.
He was a native of Velma, Ill. where he was born June 22, 1890, a son of Jacob and Susan Rever Roth. He was married at Princeton, Mo., in 1933, to Rachel Strable, who survives him.
He also leaves a son, Franklin Roth of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Krieg of Des Moines, and Mrs. Lucille Lockhart of Carroll; six grandchildren; a brother, Frank Roth of Tucson, Ariz.; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Keating of Pana, Ill.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. L. L. Root. Burial was to be made in Blair Chapel cemetery.
