She was the mother of seven children, four having preceded her to the spirit world: Sarah E., Cynthia A., Henrietta and Allie E. Those living are: Albert A. of Jessup, Georgia; Minerva A. Meharry of near Afton and John C. living on the old home place near Dodge Center church in Union county, Iowa.

Grandma Bray was stout and hearty for one of her age; having no particular ailments until one week before her death, when she fractured her hip, while near her bedside. The nervous shock causing her death at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 26 days.

She leaves to mourn her loss, three children, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren, a well loved cousin, Mrs. E. M. Craven of Macksburg, besides her many friends and neighbors, who were all good to grandma and truly the roses were scattered along her pathway by every one who knew her. She was an every day Christian in every sense of the word. She is gone, but her memory lives.
