Jennie M. Wildin Dies at 87 Years

For 57 Years Had Lived on One Farm in Crawford Township

Mrs. Jennie M. Wildin of Patterson died at her home there this Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the age of 87 years. For 57 years she had lived on the same farm in Crawford township.

Mrs. Wildin was born at Kenosha, Wisc., on Dec. 28, 1876. She was married at Eagle Grove, Ia., on April 20, 1901, to J. Irvin Wildin. He preceded her in death in 1953.

She was a member of the Baptist church at Eagle Grove.

Surviving are four sons and five daughters, Mrs. Irma Harpole of Prole, Mrs. Verna Klein of St. Charles, Edward J. Wildin of Winterset, Mrs. Zelda Buck of Glendale, Calif., Lou Wildin of Winterset, Mrs. Gertrude Hudson of Creston, Clarence Wildin of Booneville, Mrs. Phyllis Pace of Patterson, and Darrel Wildin of Winterset. She also leaves 28 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

The body will lie in state until 10 a.m. this Thursday at the Collins Funeral home in Winterset when it will be at the Patterson Methodist church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Patterson church and burial will be in Mt. Pelier cemetery at Patterson.
