Obituary - Mrs. J. B. Redburn

The sad news reached here Monday of the death of Mrs. J. B. Redburn at her home in Stuart after a lingering illness of many months. Mr. and Mrs. Redburn formerly resided here, but moved to Stuart a few years ago that she would be near her daughter, Mrs. R. J. McKee.

Mary Ann Funk was born in Alleghany county, Penn., Sept 20, 1842 and died at her home in Stuart, at 5:50 p. m. Monday Sept. 22, 1913, age 71 years and two days. On Jan 25, 1861, she was married to Joseph B. Redburn in Mahaska county, where they resided for many years and where their nine children, four sons and five daughters, were born, seven of whom are living. One daughter died in infancy and one after her marriage. Five of her children were with her when she died. The surviving children are: W. S. Redburn, of Hutchinson, Kans., Mrs. J. S. Robertson of Oskaloosa, Mrs. H. R. Myers of Greenfield, Charles Redburn of Winterset, Hayes Redburn of Anita, Joe Redburn of Dexter and Mrs. J. R. McKee of Stuart. - Dexter Sentinel
