John Kirsch Dies at 63

A farmer whose home was in Walnut township near the Peru community, John Woodrow Kirsch, 63, died Sunday, November 28, 1976 in Villa West Care Center in Winterset. He was the son of Jacob Joseph and Rosa Hayden Kirsch, born November 4, 1913 in Walnut township.

Educated in the Madison County schools, John Kirsch was married October 2, 1937, to Beulah White. The couple had three children. He was a member of the Evening Star Lodge AF & AM of Winterset, the Lorimor Lions Club and was affiliated with the Peru Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife, Beulah, a son, John Wayne Kirsch of St. Charles; two daughters, Connie Couts of Excelsior Springs, Mo. and Bonnie Snyder of Gretna, Nebraska; four grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Kirsch of Runnells, Iowa; one brother and four sisters.

Mr. Kirsch was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services for John Woodrow Kirsch were conducted Wednesday, December 1, at 2 p.m. from Peru Methodist Church, Rev. William Campbell of Chariton, and Rev. David Wagner of Truro officiating. Burial was made at the Peru Cemetery.
