Anna Wishmier of Van Meter Dies

Mrs. Anna Wishmier, member of a well-known Jefferson township family died Tuesday, Dec. 23, at her home in Van Meter. She was 83 years of age.

Mrs. Wishmier was the former Anna Marquardt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Marquardt of Jefferson township. She was married to William Wishmier, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two brothers, August and Carl Wishmier of Jefferson township and a sister, Bertha, of Wisconsin.

Most of Mrs. Wishmier’s life was spent in Jefferson township, but she had lived in Van Meter the last 12 years.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Trinity Lutheran church in Jefferson township, with burial in the church cemetery there.
