Frederick Burt of Lorimor Dies

Funeral services were held at Lorimor Jan. 13 from the Watts and Soll Funeral home for Frederick O. Burt of that community, whose death had occurred Jan. 11.

Mr. Burt was 71 years of age at his death. He was born at Truro Nov. 6, 1897, a son of Francis E. and Florence E. Burt. He graduated from high school there and attended business college in Des Moines.

He was married July 16, 1919 to Zena F. Nine. Her death occurred in 1961.

Most of his life was spent in farming. In 1943 he moved to Lorimor, where he served on the town council there and as mayor of Lorimor. He was a member of the Christian church at Truro.

He is survived by a daughter Mrs. Mary E. Whitmore of Indianola.

The Rev. Richard Hempenius conducted the funeral services Jan. 13. Burial was made in Hartman cemetery at Truro.
