William A. Ryan Died on Tuesday

Funeral Set This Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church

Funeral services for William A. Ryan, long-time resident of Crawford township, will be held Friday morning at St. Patrick’s church, Irish Settlement near Cumming.

Mr. Ryan died Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Mercy hospital in Des Moines, where he had undergone surgery. He was 59 years of age.

The son of John J. and Mary Maher Ryan, he was born in Crawford township on Feb. 11, 1903. He was a farmer and life-long resident of Crawford township until 1954 when he moved to Mahaska county, near Oskaloosa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John J. Ryan. Surviving are two brothers, James Ryan of Crawford township, and Thomas Ryan of Portland, Oregon, and two sisters, Mrs. Mona Cain of Des Moines and Mrs. Marie Dullard of Bondurant, Iowa.

Officiating at the services at 9:30 a.m. this Friday will be Rev. Fr. Daniel Clark.

Rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at Conley’s Funeral home on West Grand avenue in Des Moines.

Burial will be in St. Patrick’s cemetery.
