Obituary:
Joyce Elaine Brommel, daughter of Donald Murphy and Ramona (Newman) Murphy was born October 8, 1934 in Fort Dodge, Iowa and passed from this life Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas at 78 years of age.

Joyce graduated from Ft. Dodge High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to Phillip Henry Brommel on August 31st, 1957 in Anaheim, Ca. and nine children blessed this union.

Joyce and Phil owned and operated B&B Tire for nine years. They have lived in Truro for 35 years and enjoyed wintering at El Valle del Sol in Mission, Texas. Joyce was very active and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had been a council member, music director and billiards instructor. Joyce enjoyed NASCAR, singing, line dancing, playing the guitar and piano, karaoke, swimming, bingo, scrapbooking, shooting pool, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, genealogy, and playing board games.

Those relatives who preceded Joyce in death were her parents; daughter, Debra Jean Brommel, sisters, Lucy Stevens and Janice McKinstry and brother, Larry Murphy.

Joyce leaves to cherish her memory; husband, Phil Brommel of Truro; eight children, Loran (Debbie) Brommel of Leon; Stefanie Fuller of Springfield, Missouri; Alan (Jane) Brommel of Norwalk; Mark (Christy) Brommel of Indianola; Lynn Brommel of Des Moines; Stacy (Russ) Watrous of Des Moines; Todd (Carsen) Brommel of Altoona; Niki Brommel of West Des Moines; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Royal of Columbia, Missouri, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Visitation:
on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 Visitation will open at Noon. Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening.

Service:
10:00 am on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Kale Funeral Home (Osceola Chapel) 301 S. Main St. Osceola Iowa 50213 (map/driving directions)

Cemetery:
Interment will be in the St. Marys Cemetery in St. Marys, Iowa
