James S. Gish, 74, of Urbandale Rehabilitation and Care Center, 4614 N.W. 84th St., died of pneumonia there Saturday. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, with burial at Montpelier Cemetery in Patterson.

Mr. Gish was born in Tipton, Mo., and had lived in the Des Moines area since 1947. He was a retired tire shop repairman and an Army veteran of World War II.

Among survivors are his wife, Maxine of Des Moines; four sons, John and Billy, both of Des Moines, Tom of Altoona and Newton of El Dorado, Mo.; a stepson, Kenneth Robison of Des Moines; four daughters, Carolyn Sziber, Lola Gish and Marolyn Diaz, all of Des Moines, and JoAnn Williams of Adel; a sister, Ethel Comer of Union, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
