Services for John J. Bell, 72, of 679 Eighteenth St., who died Thursday of a heart attack at his home, will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Cathedral. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Irish Settlement.

Mr. Bell worked for Iowa Packing Co. until his retirement. He belonged to St. Ambrose Parish and the Moose Lodge. He was born in Cumming and living in Des Moines 27 years.

Mr. Bell is survived by his sister, Irene Guise of Des Moines.

A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home. Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. today.
