Ardis M. White, 84, of Winterset died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at West Bridge Care and Rehabilitation in Winterset.

Ardis has been cremated and a private family graveside will take place in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Lamoni at a later date. Memorials may be made to West Bridge Care and Rehabilitation.

Ardis Mae Roberts was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Lamoni, Iowa, the daughter of James and Caroline (Midgordon) Roberts. She graduated from Lamoni High School and later married Victor H. White on Jan. 17, 1945. They moved to Des Moines where they raised their family, retired and moved back to Lamoni. They later moved to Winterset to live closer to their two daughters. Ardis worked for the Canteen Service at Equitable Life Insurance Company for 25 years and worked for the food service at Graceland College during her retirement years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; a brother; and a nephew.

She is survived by her husband Victor of Winterset; her children, Mike White of Anchorage, Ak., Lynn Honnold of Lorimor, and Melody Mumford of Winterset; seven grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
