Richard Truman Brown, of St. James, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at the age of 80.
He was born in Afton, Iowa, on March 7, 1932, to the late Leigh A. Brown and Edith B. (Brandon) Brown. On April 28, 1951, he married Twyla Miller and they were later blessed with three children. Mr. Brown was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert William Denny, four brothers, and one sister.
He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes his wife, Twyla Brown, of the home; three children, Richard “Rick” Brown and wife Becky of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, David Martin Brown of Des Moines, Iowa, and Laura Marie Denny and husband Bill of Sullivan, Mo.; one brother, Daniel Brown of Arizona; two sisters, Delores Peterson of Arizona, and Helen Hale of California; three grandchildren, Melanie Berkson, Elizabeth Sherrell and Megan Thacker; three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear friends.
