George Wight of Harrison township, Adair county, died Saturday. He was one of the most prominent men in Adair county.

He was honorable, upright and held the respect of all. He was one of the largest landowners in Adair county.

Before his death he deeded his estate to his heirs comprising some 1,400 acres of fine Adair county land.
