Death of R. S. CONGER

Reville Spencer Conger, a former resident of Winterset, died Sunday, March 14, at his home in Lorimor at the age of 77 years. Mr. Conger was born in Palmyra, Wisconsin, August 19, 1849, and was married to Emma S. Whitaker, January 8, 1871. in Augusta, Kalamazoo county, Michigan.

Mr. and Mrs. Conger came to Winterset in 1883 and the former served as Tinner for Payton Brothers, and then later for Benge Brothers. In 1895 they moved to Lorimor, where Mr. Conger has since been in business for himself.

He had a stroke of paralysis a week ago and he never recovered. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G. L. Haffander at the Methodist church, and burial was made in the cemetery south of town. He is survived by his wife and their two children Floy C. Landers of Des Moines and Ruth E. Routh of Lorimor, and three sisters and two brothers, all of Chicago.
