Arthur VanBuren, 94, of Van Meter, died of congestive heart failure Feb. 18, 1996 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Madison County. Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter will be handling the arrangements.
He was born in Waterloo, Ill., and had farmed in Dallas and Madison County for over 50 years. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Rose E. VanBuren of Winterset; one daughter, Beverly Schley of Apache Junction, Ariz.; two sons, Colin VanBuren of Sommerset, Texas, and Willard VanBuren of Irving, Texas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
