Craig Shambaugh, Van Meter

Craig Shambaugh, 46, of Van Meter, died of a heart ailment Dec. 24, 1996 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were Dec. 28 at the Van Meter United Methodist Church. Burial was at the Union Chapel Cemetery near Booneville.

He was born June 9, 1950 in Des Moines to Rex and Anna Lee Shambaugh. He had been a resident of Van Meter most of his life and had been a meat cutter for Swift Packing Plant.

Surviving relatives include his parents of Van Meter; one sister, Linda Gray of Booneville; one brother, Wayne Shambaugh of Mingo; and a long-time girlfriend and companion, Donna Whitlow, of Winterset.

Note: Burial was made in the Union Chapel-Jefferson township cemetery.
