Iva V. Thornbrugh Cook died at her home in Des Moines, October 14th, of a heart attack.
Mrs. Cook was born in Madison County April 13, 1886, daughter of James Cass Thornbrugh and Emily A. Evans. She was born in Scott township where her grandfather, James Thornbrugh settled in 1846. She attended Buffalo School and the Winterset schools and was married to Gideon E. Cook of Winterset in 1908. They made their home in Des Moines. Mr. Cook died in 1948.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Mrs. Lucia Taylor of Des Moines, a niece, Mrs. Marjorie Bass and two cousins, Mrs. Fred Wilkinson and Mrs. S. A. Darnall.
Burial was at Glendale cemetery, Saturday, October 16th.
