Metro Page 7Opal T. Burger, 92, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Friday at Village Health Care Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, of which she was a member, and burial will be in Winterset Cemetery.
Mrs. Burger, a homemaker, was born in Madison County and lived in the Winterset area most of her life until moving to Indianola in 1989. She had lived at the care center 18 months.
Surviving are three daughters, Phyllis Davison of Indianola, Mary Tassell of Syracuse, N.Y., and Donna Beeler of Earlham; a brother, Emory Aikin of Loveland, Colo.; a sister, Faye Burger of Adel; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at Overton Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m.
