Metro Page 5Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Cumming for Charles W. Hanrahan of Norwalk. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Irish Settlement Cemetery.
Mr. Hanrahan, 93, died of a heart ailment Thursday at Regency Care Center, where he was a resident.
Born in Cumming, he had lived in the Des Moines area since 1954 and retired from Deere and Co. He was a member of the AFL-CIO, St. Ambrose Cathedral and the United Auto Workers union.
Surviving are two sons, Charles F. of Des Moines and John J. of Arlington, Va.; a daughter, Luella Floden of Des Moines; a brother, Thomas of Cumming; two sisters, Nora Egan of San Lorendo, Calif.; and Mary King of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home in Des Moines, where a vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m.
