Services for Betty L. Rankin, 61, Des Moines, who died Mon., April 9, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, will be held at 1 p.m. on Thurs. April 12, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born December 25, 1928 in Madison County, she was the daughter of Claude and Effie Snyder Drake. She was married to Murray Rankin in 1946.
She was a member of the Capital Hill Christian Church in Des Moines.
Survivors include sons, Max Rankin Sr. of Prairie City, Rex, Donald and Ronald Rankin, all of Des Moines; daughters, Dianna Brouwer and Cynthia Hudson, both of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; six brothers, Jack Townsley, Glen Drake, John Drake, Fred Drake, Larry Drake and Donovan Drake, all of Des Moines; sisters, Marlys Vaughan of Sumner, Mary Jo Ewold of Des Moines, Donna Mae Schnoor of Pine River, Minn., and Janis McCauley of Des Moines.
Visitation will be all day Wednesday.
