Death of NELSON HOWELL

Mrs. Oliver James received word on Nov. 2 of the death of her nephew, Nelson Howell, 13-year-old son of her brother, Frank Howell, of Ventura, Calif. No details were known until Saturday when a letter stated that he had died from appendicitis. Nelson had not been in the best of health but the serious nature of his illness, which covered but a few days, was not realized until death was imminent.

The body was brought back to Iowa by the family, arriving Tuesday in Des Moines, where Mr. and Mrs. James met the funeral party. Burial takes place tomorrow in Norwalk cemetery.

Nelson attended the Winterset schools during the time the family lived in town and became popular among his schoolmates. One brother and three sisters remain to comfort the bereaved parents who have many relatives in Madison county.
