Kenneth Pace, 61, of 2710 E. Madison Ave., died of a stroke Tuesday at home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Winterset Cemetery there.

Mr. Pace was born in Winterset and had lived in Des Moines since 1967. He was a retired chief petty officer for the U.S. Navy. He had been a member of Disabled American Veterans and St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Survivors include a brother, Lawrence of Van Nuys, Calif.; and three sisters, Lorraine Miles of Channing, Texas, Pauline Byg of Denver, Colo., and Shirley Emery of Des Moines.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
